History
Background of the Institution
The school was initially established as an Institute of Business Technology in 2019, offering National Innovation Diploma (NID) in three programmes:
NID Computer Software Engineering
NID Networking & System Security
NID Early Childhood Care Management Education
Within a span of 5 to 6 years, the institution successfully graduated 150 students across these three programmes.
Â
Strategic Shift in 2025
After careful and intensive consultation in 2025, the Proprietor and the Governing Board of the Institution developed an interest in shifting focus from empowerment and skills acquisition training programmes to training Human Resources for Health through a Monotechnic approach.
This strategic shift was motivated by the critical manpower demand in the health sector within the State and beyond, with the goal of contributing meaningfully toward bridging the health manpower gap.
Â
Establishment of the College of Nursing Sciences
Since then, the Proprietor has vigorously pursued the establishment of the College of Nursing Sciences through active collaboration with the following bodies:
Department of Nursing Services, Ministry of Health, Kano State
Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
These collaborations have been instrumental in providing the proper guidance required to meet the accreditation requirements necessary for the programme to commence.
